ELSA, The European Law Students` Association, ist die weltgrößte Jurastudentenvereinigung und bietet Jurastudenten, Referendaren und jungen Juristen die Möglichkeit, sich zu engagieren und weiterzubilden. Völkerverständigung, die Ausbildung sozial kompetenter Juristen, akademische Arbeit und Praxisbezug sind die Grundpfeiler des Selbstverständnisses von ELSA.

ELSA International

ELSA is the world`s largest independent law students` association. It comprises a membership close to 30 000 students and recent graduates who are interested in law and have demonstrated commitment to international issues.
ELSA operates primarily through its local groups, which are located at more than 200 universities throughout 36 countries in Europe.

ELSA Moot Court Competition - EMC²

The ELSA Moot Court Competition (EMC²) is a simulated hearing in the World Trade Organization (WTO) dispute settlement system. Competitor teams represent both the Complainant and Respondent parties to the Case by presenting oral submissions in front of a Panel. EMC² Panels consist of WTO law experts and are referred to as Panellist. The Competition provides students with the opportunity to put theory into practice, thereby complimenting their formal legal education. The aim of the Competition is both to encourage further development on the subject matter in the curriculum of academic institutions and also to contribute to the ongoing discussion about globalisation in the context of the WTO Agreements.
